v2.1.0 Own Worlds: the country editor is here
Ever since version 2.0.0 the same request kept coming in: add another country. Instead of building a seventh country by hand, there is now an editor. Version 2.1.0 is the biggest content update since launch and free on every platform.
Your own countries in the editor
You decide how many divisions your country has, how many teams play in each (8 to 24), how many go up and down, whether there are playoffs, and how the national cup is structured. In the qualification editor you set zero to six continental slots per competition.
78 curated templates are included. They bring real league structures and realistic continental slots, along with club and amateur names in the style of the country, classic city derbies as rivalries, sponsors in the local language and their own referees. Brazil ships with the update itself and is the proof that the editor holds up for a large country too: its own currency, three divisions, a national cup and a South American continental cup.
God mode applies editor changes to a running career immediately, with no restart.
What else is new
- Perimeter advertising with several partners depending on stadium size
- Merchandise run by you, with quantity and price, or handed to an agency
- Staff to hire: physiotherapist, fitness coach, assistant manager, goalkeeping coach, scout
- The assistant picks the eleven at the press of a button, following your brief: strongest, best form or best rested
- Awards for manager and player of the year, per country, with their own ceremony scene
- A taster match in the main menu, in the style of old cover-disc demos
- A season calendar as a widget on the laptop and as a full fixture list
- Active leagues freely selectable, which saves battery and performance
What changed in the balance
Player valuations now follow quality rather than the division a player currently plays in. Before, a second division signing was worth three to five times as much at the next valuation update, without you doing anything. Strong players reject offers more often, and difficulty now affects every purchase.
Development was slowed down too: the winter break counts only half, and the stacking bonuses from form, goals and call-ups are capped. Top ratings exist only in the first division and only from a fitting age.
Languages and currencies
48 interface languages, with Arabic newly added. English (US) is now its own language with US terms and US dollars, while English (UK) remains. More than 60 display currencies are available and convert automatically.
Where to go next
The full changelog is here. Why the editor was built at all is in the Dev Log. The trade service Games Press picked up the release.
