2.1.5 is out, and 2.1.6 a day later

21 August 2026:

On 14 August this page carried a preview: the form system had been reworked, no
date yet. That date is now in the past. 2.1.5 has been on Google Play, Steam,
itch.io and the App Store since 20 August, and 2.1.6 followed a day later.

What came out of the forum

The core theme came from a forum report, and it was right on three counts. Weekly
training had no effect at all in cup and continental weeks. Form was devalued
twice over in exactly those weeks. And injured players lost the double penalty in
midweek doubles.

All three are fixed, and the winter break now pulls form only half as hard toward
the middle: otherwise a whole first half of the season was wiped out. Measured
over a full season at the highest difficulty with full rotation, squad form rises
from 5.0 to 8.1.

The same report produced the second fix. Mid-season, the fan shop order buttons
still counted every home game, including the ones long played. Since half the
stock expires at the end of the season, that was real money. Only the remaining
home games count now.

What you can see

Every club has a kit and a crest, every sponsor a hoarding in the style of the
nineties. Bring your own images and the editor takes them, a whole ZIP at a time.
In the stadium the scorer now decides how the stands react, and between events the
terrace sings.

The finance screen has been rebuilt as well: expense rows unfold, every cost item
carries a question mark with an explanation, and tax has dropped from 25 to 10
percent.

The day after

2.1.5 shipped with one fault that only showed on a device: the premium shop would
no longer open on phones and tablets. The screen stayed empty, the back button did
nothing, and only closing the game helped.

The cause was a typo in a single file. A script Godot cannot load is never
attached to its node: the scene appears, but nothing inside it works. 2.1.6 exists
for that one fix and has been on Google Play and Steam since 21 August.
