Update

v2.1.4: 80 achievements checked, nine bugs fixed

One player reported on Steam that two selling achievements never triggered for him. Instead of checking just those two, all 80 were reviewed. Eleven more bugs ended up on the list.

Why those two achievements were unreachable

"Made a profit" and "Doubled" could never fire, structurally. A player's purchase price was deleted at the turn of the season, and the holding period forbids selling in the season of purchase. So by the earliest possible sale date, the reference price was always gone. It now stays with the player, and loading an old save fills in the prices of the current season.

What else the review found

  • Record win only counted in the league, a 7:0 in the cup did not
  • Double and treble were awarded for a second division title too, and the treble accepted any continental cup instead of only the top one
  • The finance achievements measured the account balance. A single large loan could unlock all four tiers at once. They now count earned profit, with outstanding loans deducted
  • Streaks such as title defences and profitable seasons lived device-wide outside the save, so a new career inherited the old one's streak. They now belong to the career
  • The taster match no longer grants achievements. A demo win used to burn "First match" permanently into the store account, even though no career existed

Fan shop and finals

The second focus came from the forum. Finals are played on neutral ground, but only the team listed as home in the fixture used to sell there, which meant the seeding decided the income. Now both finalists sell, and ticket income is shared. The cup scarf stays orderable until the end of the season, and the championship trophy is tied to the title race instead of a fixed matchday cutoff.

On top of that, a change of game engine fixes a crash that stopped the game from starting at all on individual devices.

What this says about bug reports

A single report rarely shows only the one case. Whoever finds a bug usually finds a pattern. That is why every report is worth sending, including the one where you assume it must be intentional.
