Anpfiff1

Update

2.2.1: Saving without stutter, safer saves, accurate statistics

27 September 2026: Version 2.2.1 of Anpfiff1 is on Google Play, Steam and itch.io, and since 28 September on the App Store too. An optimisation update without a new game feature: it is about speed, safe saves and statistics that add up.

No more freezing when saving

The game saves automatically after every week. On a PC it stood still for a good three seconds while doing so, on a phone clearly longer. Now the writing happens in the background and only a small "Saving…" notice appears. Starting a career loads the players twice as fast, and the first interview after a matchday no longer stalls.

Saved games are safer

Every save carries a checksum. If a file is damaged, the game automatically loads the last backup, three generations are kept. The cloud only uploads on Wi-Fi now, and every device signs in with a secret of its own.

Loading also used to lose state: opposing clubs stopped paying youth and medical costs afterwards, and the All-Time Table lost its relegated clubs. Both are fixed.

The statistics add up

Own goals no longer count for the scorer, yellow-red is counted separately, the top scorer lists include the goals of all leagues, and substitutes no longer count as starters. Argentina plays its whole season in the background, both tournaments included.

An easier start and better legibility

  • Name, difficulty and contracts are sensibly preset. New: age and nationality of your manager.
  • Club names appear everywhere instead of cities.
  • No text is smaller than 24 pixels, numbers follow the writing of your language, Chinese, Japanese and Korean have a typeface of their own, and Arabic runs from right to left.

Also

Every club crest is unique, free agents are back in the pre-season, at most five substitutions are possible, injuries included, and the commentary fits the match situation. The Android back button no longer ends the game by accident, and ads only appear after your consent.

The changelog lists everything in detail. What was measured, and what was dropped along the way, is in the Dev Log.
