1.0.9: one screen instead of two, and one button less

One screen instead of two

The editor and the chat settings used to be two separate screens: write here, adjust there, and a switch between them every single time. Now it is one stage. The chat sits on top, a panel with every setting below it, and tapping something in the chat — a bubble, the header, the status bar — opens exactly the setting that belongs to it.

A video like a photo

A video can now be dropped into the chat the way a photo or a voice recording can. In the thread it appears as a preview frame with its running time, and in the exported video its sound is heard.

One button less

After an export there used to be share buttons for TikTok, Instagram and the rest, plus a field for the caption. On a real device not one of them worked: TikTok and Instagram answered "unknown file type", the generic chooser opened nothing useful, and the caption field promised a workflow that never completed. The route those buttons wanted to take is not one those apps accept.

So they are gone. What stands there instead is that the video is in your gallery — which is where you upload it from anyway. The promise went with the buttons: where the app used to say "share directly" on first launch, it now names the format you actually get.

A button that never worked is worse than no button. It costs the user the same journey, only with a detour and an error message at the end.
