Privacy Policy

Applies to the Android app "Recorder Pur" (com.digitalemanufaktur.recorder.pure)

Effective: October 2026

1. In short

Recorder Pur does not collect, store or transmit personal data to us or to third parties. The app works entirely on your device. It needs no registration, no user account and no email address.

2. No internet connection, no tracking

The app does not request the internet permission. It contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising IDs and no ads.

3. Recordings

Audio recordings are stored locally in the folder you choose (by default Music/Recordings). They are never transmitted to us or to third parties. You decide whether and with whom you share a recording using your device's share function. Deleted recordings go to the app's trash first and are removed permanently after 30 days.

On request you can hand recordings to our app Fototresor. This only happens on your action through Android sharing. The recording does not leave the device.

4. Permissions

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): only for recordings you start yourself.
• Foreground service with microphone (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE): so recording continues while the screen is off. A persistent notification is visible during recording.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): for that notification.
• Access to the selected folder: to save, read, rename and move your recordings. Up to Android 10 the app uses the classic storage permission instead.
• Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK): keeps the processor awake during recording.
• Billing (BILLING): for the Pro purchase through Google Play.

5. Pro purchase via Google Play

The optional Pro unlock is a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy. Recorder Pur only learns from Google whether the purchase exists and stores that locally on the device. We receive no payment data and no information about the buyer.

6. Settings and markers

Settings (format, bitrate, colours, storage folder), favourites and markers are kept in the local app preferences on the device. They may be included in Android Backup if you enabled that feature in your Google account.

7. Children

The app collects no data, neither from children nor from adults.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

Because we neither receive nor store personal data about you, we can neither provide information about you nor delete anything. You remove all data yourself by uninstalling the app or deleting your recordings.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we publish the new version here and update the date above.
